Textile weaving and braiding

With over a century of experience in the textile industry, we are able to offer two categories of products:

Narrow fabrics: woven or cut ribbons, straps, ropes, cords, braids, etc. in all materials (PES, recycled PES, PA, cotton, aramid, para-aramid, etc.)
Wide width textiles: technical, coated, adhesive, non-stick, waterproof, anti-bacterial fabrics… (PA, PES, recycled PES, acetate, cotton, etc…)

We offer a wide range of finishes on textiles: priming, coating, flexographic, digital, silk-screen and offset printing, overmoulding of plastic tips…

Weaving

Textile weaving has been in the company’s DNA since its creation in the 19th century. Long specialising in ribbons and narrow textiles, Louison has expanded its business to other types of products, such as technical fabrics and straps, always manufactured locally in its production workshops in Saint-Chamond (42).

Textile braiding

The manufacture of narrow textiles by braiding is one of the company’s flagship activities, with a wide range of products (braids, cords, halyards, ropes) manufactured to strict specifications. Traditional materials (cotton, linen) and technical materials (polyester, fibreglass, Nomex®, Kevlar®, Trevira®, Dyneema®, etc.) are used to meet specific requirements, whether for luxury packaging or technical products for industry.

Our 2 laboratories allow us to carry out all kinds of research, development and tests quickly in order to develop and perfect new manufacturing processes and new materials.

Manufacturing and industrialisation

We are able to design products from existing models or we can create a new product based on your specifications or a jointly developed specification. We study the constraints linked to the realization of your product, and we propose the most economical solution that meets your needs.
