Fire retardancy of non-woven fabrics
Intended for interior design, home décor and packaging, non-woven fabric is a versatile textile material produced by bonding polyester fibres.
Lightweight, cost-effective and easy to use, non-woven fabric must be treated for use in public spaces, in accordance with current standards.
The M1 fire safety standard
The M1 grade is the most stringent level in the classification of material flammability (NF P92-507).
M1 materials are combustible materials that do not ignite and do not sustain a fire. These include textiles, synthetic foams, fire-retardant timber and acoustic panels.
Compliance with the M1 standard is required for all premises open to the public. The use of fire-retardant fabric is therefore essential for all fit-out projects.
