A long-standing tradition of expertise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The extension shock cord was first developed in 1932 by Faure-Roux, a manufacturer of braided and elastic fabrics based in Saint-Chamond (42).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the time, this patented product was used to fit the landing gear of aircraft taking part in long-distance flights. These extenders enable the control of elongation under load through controlled deformation, which occurs linearly and smoothly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faure-Roux has been acquired by Louison Industries, and its expertise and products remain intact.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

An innovative technical design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The technology behind our shock cords is based on a polyester braided cover over an elastic sling made of natural rubber; this sling is coiled into a closed loop between two standardised fittings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the strength of the ferrule is proportional to the maximum load that the tensioner can withstand, these two ferrules, which act as load-bearing points, are integrated into the tensioner\u2019s structure without adding bulk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This construction allows for the distribution of stress and control of deformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The polyester braiding also protects the rubber against UV rays, dust, moisture, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
